Deep Reddish Brown is from the Colour by Nature palette, created in collaboration between Farrow & Ball and the Natural History Museum. Its appeal is right there in the name – this intensely rich, warm russet was once very popular as a woodwork colour in country houses, and it's easy to see why. Try it on skirting boards, banisters, or even the front door for a contemporary twist on mahogany.
