Imperial Purple is from the Colour by Nature palette, created in collaboration between Farrow & Ball and the Natural History Museum. It's a deep, intense indigo that appears almost blue in some lights. It has an undeniably luxurious feel that's apparent whether it's used all over, as a rich wall colour, or in smaller quantities, such as inside a cupboard or on a piece of furniture.
